Speaker

David Boshart is the lead pastor of West Union Mennonite Church.  He holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Andrews University with a concentration in Missional Ecclesiology.  Since 2005, David has been giving leadership to the development of a church planting strategy for Central Plains Mennonite Conference. He is also a member of the executive committee of the Executive Board of Mennonite Church USA.  David is married to Conference Youth Minister Shana Peachey Boshart, and together they have three adult sons and one granddaughter.

David analyzed four Central Plains church plants for his dissertation, focusing on the habits and beliefs that characterize missional churches.  In his presentations, he will share three core commitments of the church in mission: Biblical discernment, three-dimensional hospitality, and contextual witness.
