2012 Congregational Leaders Workshop
The Paradox of Power: with J. Nelson Kraybill February 25, 2012 at Manson Mennonite Church
A major research project on Mennonite pastors in North America, Engaging Pastors, found that “there is an urgent need and opportunity for biblical, pastoral, and teaching authority to be strengthened in the Mennonite Church.”
How to actually do this presents significant challenges for congregational leaders! This year, the Central Plains Congregational Leaders Workshop will give pastors, elders and deacons the opportunity to study the biblical foundations of authority in congregational leadership. By building common understandings of these biblical foundations, pastors and their elders or deacons can become more effective leadership teams for their congregations. Conference leaders and others who are interested in the Bible study are most welcome, with the understanding that there will also be practical training for leadership groups.
Here is the registration brochure. The registration deadline has been extended to February 15.
