Following Christ in a Partisan World an event for CPMC pastors October 22-23, 2021 Residence Inn, Downtown/Old Market Area •106 South 15th Street, Omaha NE Tensions are rising, argumentation has replaced conversation, and divisions continue to widen. How do we avoid the pull of partisanship and create space for the Spirit to work reconciliation in our midst?
Join Scott Peterson, leadership pastor at Trinity Mennonite Church in Glendale, AZ, to explore how Anabaptist theology creates a different paradigm for engagement without falling into the traps of fallen systems or partisan politics, and how we can use that new paradigm to lead better conversations and create healthier churches. Thanks to a New Ministries Grant, the registration fee for this event is only $45! This fee includes supper catered by Big Mama's on Friday and lunch on Saturday. The registration deadline has passed, but if you'd still like to participate, please contact Susan Janzen, Conference Minister for Ministerial Leadership, at susanjanzen@centralplainsmc.org or 319 610-1007. Scott would like to focus on the issues that are most pressing to Central Plains congregations. If you haven't already done so, please click this link https://forms.gle/Hf3sQ2r3TC8ywXom6 to fill out a survey that will help shape Scott's input for the event. Thanks!
