Pastors' Fellowship & Communion
Pastors,
It was wonderful to see so many of you (and your spouses) on April 25 -- to hear your voices, find out how you're doing, and catch up with what's been going on since we last gathered! It was especially meaningful to gather around the table and share communion. Please continue to take advantage of the retreat plans and articles on this page. You are so important to the people who care about you and for whom you care! Taking time to care for yourself and your needs is crucial for your own health and relationships, but also so you can be present for others. Stay tuned for information about an upcoming special seminar for pastors focused on helping congregations have healthy conversations about divisive issues. We're anticipating an in-person gathering sometime this fall with Scott Peterson, one of the pastors at Trinity Mennonite Church in Glendale, Arizona. Scott was to have been with us at the Annual Leaders Retreat last year and we're delighted he's going to share his insights with us later this year. -- Susan Janzen, for PLC and the Planning Group Many thanks to congregations who released pastors from responsibilities so they could participate on April 25 and to those who have encouraged their leaders to take time for retreat and renewal, whenever that works into their schedules. Your support and care mean a lot. Thank you! |
