David Shenk and Eliana Tejedor

David and Eliana serve with the Quito Mennonite Church, supporting its congregational and local ministries. In 2002, the church began a refugee program in response to the needs of Colombian families who were forcefully displaced by the violence in their country. David’s principal role has been the coordination of the refugee ministry, which is primarily funded through Mennonite Central Committee. Currently David is serves as coordinator of partnership ministries in Ecuador. Eliana coordinates the after school tutoring program Mennonite Services and is co-coordinator of the Quito Mennonite Church children's Sunday school ministry. Mission Network’s involvement in Ecuador is through the partnership that also includes the Colombia Mennonite Church and Central Plains Mennonite Conference.
