Luz Marina and William Valencia
Iglesia Menonita de Riobamba, Riobamba, Ecuador
William and Luz Marina Valencia began their ministry in Riobamba, Ecuador, in January, 2012, sent by the Colombian Mennonite Church (IMCOL).  William has pastored Mennonite Churches in Colombia and served as the Colombian Mennonite Church (IMCOL) administrator, and as the Coordinator of the Commission for Restoration, Life and Peace of the Evangelical Council of Colombia (CEDECOL).

Luz Marina has worked in Colombia with the Christian Women’s Network for Life and Peace project to lead training workshops on community organization, social work, human rights and international human rights law, and the protection of human rights in conflict areas.

In the year 1981 we answered the call to be full-time pastors. God gave us the opportunity to serve in seven churches in the city of Cali and five congregations in the department of Valle. In 2001, God led us to serve in the pastoral communities in conflict areas in the departments of Caldas, Risaralda, Quindio, Valle, Cauca, Narino and Putumayo. After a break for six months outside the country, we resumed service in pastoral ministry in the Mennonite community of the town of Girardot. Since 2007, we have shared time between serving in Girardot and in the city of Bogotá, where we support work in the national administration office of the Mennonite Church in Colombia. In September, 2010, we traveled to Riobamba, Ecuador, where we assisted the congregation during the first week of Rosemburt Ipez’s ministry. The Lord is leading us to serve full time in the Mennonite Church in Riobamba, Ecuador, beginning in the month of January, 2012.
