Workshops: The workshop on gun violence on Friday has been cancelled. There will now be a Christian Formation workshop in it's place.
Our speaker, Michael Danner, will present a workshops on Friday and Saturday. They are outlined below:
On-Ramps to the Kingdom! When we think of evangelism, we often proclaim Jesus as God’s solution to sin and guilt – which is true! Yet, the gospel, itself, is bigger! This seminar will explore the various ways we can proclaim the gospel based on what the people around us are experiencing. These various ways can be thought of as different “on ramps” to the kingdom – or ways to get people on a journey of experiencing the fullness of God’s salvation in Jesus.
Help your Pastor Thrive! Most church people I talk to acknowledge two things: Good pastors are hard to find, and good pastors are hard to keep. This seminar will explore 5 areas that, together, make up what MC USA calls well-being in ministry. If you pay attention to these 5 areas, you can help create a context for your pastor(s) to thrive, thus increasing the chances they will be effective in your congregation longer.
