Where do we go from here? CPMC Annual Meeting June 15-18, 2023 York, NE
The 2023 Annual Meeting of Central Plains Mennonite Conference will explore the theme, "Where do we go from here?" with Michael Danner, the associate executive director for Church Vitality in Mennonite Church USA, supporting area conferences, congregations and pastors in their ministry. Prior to serving in this role, Michael served as conference minister for Illinois Mennonite Conference. He also has 20 years of experience as a local church pastor, serving 17 of those years as pastor of Metamora Mennonite Church in Illinois. Michael has served in the areas of Christian education, youth ministry, worship and preaching/teaching. His passion is helping local congregations thrive through speaking, writing, training and coaching.

On-Ramps to the Kingdom! When we think of evangelism, we often proclaim Jesus as God’s solution to sin and guilt – which is true! Yet, the gospel, itself, is bigger! This seminar will explore the various ways we can proclaim the gospel based on what the people around us are experiencing. These various ways can be thought of as different “on ramps” to the kingdom – or ways to get people on a journey of experiencing the fullness of God’s salvation in Jesus.
Help your Pastor Thrive! Most church people I talk to acknowledge two things: Good pastors are hard to find, and good pastors are hard to keep. This seminar will explore 5 areas that, together, make up what MC USA calls well-being in ministry. If you pay attention to these 5 areas, you can help create a context for your pastor(s) to thrive, thus increasing the chances they will be effective in your congregation longer.
