We have covenanted to study the Bible together, and here are practical tips for those who lead Bible studies in any setting.
 
Open the Book: Practical tips for leading Bible study is based on the text in Nehemiah 8 when Ezra read the Book of the Law to the Israelites as they returned from exile. Keith Slater shares what he has learned about leading Bible studies over the years.

Keith begins with a brief Introduction to the three sessions. (6:50)
 
1. Don’t Mourn or Weep: Goals and problems focuses on the goal of Bible study and the role of the leader. It will also cover common problems we encounter in leading groups. (20:04)

2. Listen Closely: Facilitating good discussion covers the things you do to lead a discussion well. (17:02)

3. A Unified Purpose: Preparing to lead gives guidance on how to prepare by doing some background study, develop your theme, and write discussion questions. (25:11)

His work history includes InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and SIL International. He has taught biblical interpretation and Bible study principles to Sunday school classes at West Union and in other congregations.
