Join Central Plains Outreach and Service Committee on a Mennonite Mission Network Just Peace Pilgrimage. Mennonite Mission Network will lead CPMC pilgrims in exploring what God is doing to bring about justice and peace in the world and the ways in which we can participate in such movements. The idea of a pilgrimage has a strong foundation within Christian scriptures. In addition to numerous physical journeys and trials, fifteen of the Psalms were written specifically about pilgrimage to Jerusalem (Psalm 120-134). Learn more about Civil Rights
This one week opportunity allows participants to better understand the realities of migration at the US-Mexico border as they experience how communities of faith are responding to it. Costs
Due to a generous New Ministries Grant from CPMC, cost of participation in the pilgrimage is only $650 + airfare per person. CPMC will collect the trip costs. Cost should not be a problem for anyone hoping to participate. The conference is committed to supporting any person who is interested in this opportunity. We encourage individual congregations to set up a fund for someone in their congregation who wishes to go but cannot afford the cost. The deadline to sign up for this trip is October 1, 2025.
