Central Plains Mennonite Conference structure:The Delegate Body meets once a year at Annual Meeting.
Between annual meetings, Central Plains is governed by the Conference Board which consists of the moderator, assistant moderator, treasurer, secretary and four at-large members. There are three standing committees. The Christian Formation Committee assists the members of CPMC to grow continually in Christ-likeness in order to embody a holistic witness to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Amanda Bleichty, Conference Minister for Christian Formation, works with the CFC to help educate, resource and encourage faith development in children, youth and adults conference-wide. The Pastoral Leadership Committee is responsible to call out, credential and nurture pastoral leadership within Central Plains Conference. Susan Janzen, Conference Minister for Pastoral Leadership, works with the PLC. Susan and the PLC help congregations call and credential pastors, conduct pastor and congregation evaluations, manage conflict and confront misconduct. The Outreach & Service Committee assists Central Plains congregations in promoting peace, justice, evangelism and church planting efforts, both locally and globally. The Ecuador Partnership, Partners in Mission and Church Planting Strategy Team are included in this area. |
