Quito Property Fund
Quito Mennonite Church celebrated 20 years of community ministry in the spring of 2020. For most of those years, the congregation met in rented houses, where they carried out a variety of ministries--Quito Mennonite Church’s worship and activities, peace workshops for community children, theological classes, homework help for neighborhood children and, of course the Refugee Project, where staff conducted refugee interviews, workshops and distribution of food and clothing. In 2017, with help from Mission Network and CPMC, ICAME purchased a large house to accommodate all of those ministries as well as lodging for visitors and an apartment to rent. This has offered them increased self-sustainability, stability, and adequate and appropriate space. The purchase included a loan to be paid down for 15 years. Ecuador Partnership is grateful for the support received from CPMC which helps Quito Mennonite Church to conduct their ongoing ministries. Gifts to the Ecuador line in the CPMC budget help the church have enough income while also making payments on their loan. Thank you for all of your support as we work together with our brothers and sisters in Ecuador to follow Jesus as we share his love with others. Please continue to remember our ministries in your prayers.
