Delegate and Congregational Information:
It is important that congregations select their delegates for the Special Session soon so that delegates can keep up-to-date on the resolutions and prepare for on-going discernment. Non-delegate observers are welcome to attend.
Registration for the Special Session is now open. Both delegates and non-delegate observers need to register through this link to the MC USA website.
Our friends at Atlantic Coast Mennonite Conference have put together this helpful video that explains the Resolution to Retire the Membership Guidelines. They gave us permission to share this video with you. Our structure and process here in Central Plains is very similar to that of Atlantic Coast Mennonite Conference, so when you see ACC in the video, you can substitute CPMC in your mind.
MC USA has a Delegate Resource page for the Special Delegate Session. In addition to print resources, they will be holding informational webinars over the next several months. You can find registration information and recordings of those webinars along with resource documents in English and Spanish on their Delegate Resources webpage, here.
The Faith, Life and Procedures Task Group is highlighting several resources that might be especially helpful to congregations in Central Plains.
